Goa State Museum is situated in Panaji city, north Goa
district. It was established in June 18, 1996. The museum now has approx 8000
articles to show to visitors which include wooden articles, bronzes articles,
paintings, rare coins, stone sculptures and anthropological articles. The
museum also has Hindu and Jain religions related objects to display. The museum
has now 14th galleries to show objects which are Geology Gallery, Natural
Heritage of Goa Gallery, Menezes Braganza Gallery, Numismatics Gallery,
Cultural Anthropology, Banerji Art Gallery, Christian Art Gallery and Sculpture
Gallery.

well connected by national highway – 17. It is located in capital of the Goa
state Panjim city. It is just 35 kilometers far from main railway station
