Goa Saptakoteshwar Temple Pilgrimage



Saptakoteshwar temple is most famous in Goa state which comes in top six temples of the Konkan area land. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva which is placed at Narve village, north Goa. This temple was built by queen Kamaldevi of the Kadamba dynasty. This temple was also destroyed by Bahmani Sultan Allauddin in 1352 but it again restore in 1367 by Vijayanagar King Harihararaya. This temple again destroyed by Portuguese ruler in 1560. This temple again was constructed by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in 1668.

How can reach:- The Saptakoteshwar temple is just 35 kilometers far from Goa state capital Panjim. It is also can access via ferryboat from Divar Island which is near of the Narve village. This temple distance from Margao city is just 42 kilometers. Margao is also a main railway junction of the state but temple's nearest railway station is Thivim. Its distance from Dabolim international airports is exact 33 kilometers.
